Richard Butcher
Senior has had over 50 years of experience in the
international transportation industry, both ashore and
afloat. He is an acknowledged world expert on liner
shipping, with specific focus on the container sector of the
business. He was heavily involved in the First Container
Revolution in the early 1960’s and since then, has held
senior positions in the fields of marketing operations and
logistics with many of the world’s carrier groups.
He has been an advisor to a number of Governments on
shipping related matters and is actively involved in the
management of industry related educational courses at both
Cambridge (UK) and overseas locations.
Richard Butcher Senior is Chairman of the IMS Group of
Companies and a Director on the Boards of other
multi-national corporations. |
