Liz Lasater, VP Supply
Chain Management (SCM)
Throughout her
career Liz Lasater has been on the leading edge of supply
chain thinking and practice – designing and executing
powerful business solutions for some of the largest
manufacturers, retailers and contractors in the world.
Today, Ms. Lasater is the Principal of a Strategic Supply
Chain Consulting firm. There she can be found defining
commercial best practices and developing supply chain
solutions for the United States Department of Defense,
federal agencies, logistics providers, manufacturers and
retailers.
While providing clients with operational assessments and
network planning, she redefined the supply chain strategy
for a leading integrator of air traffic control
communications systems and technical services. By
introducing a merge-in-transit solution, which supports
order consolidation to 5000 sites, the suppliers and
integrators are able to drive down handling cost and excess
inventory, while reducing damage and delivery delays. In
addition, she developed a strategic supply chain model
incorporating Vendor Managed Inventory to support the
development of the new generation of fighter planes. As an
industry spokesperson she lends her expertise and knowledge
to companies in support of Operation Safe Commerce to insure
a secure chain of custody.
As the executive responsible for Asia and Latin America
Consolidation Services, Ms. Lasater defined new competencies
in areas of technology and supply chain management required
to maintain leading edge performance and competitive
advantage in the 3PL industry 3-5 years forward. This
included new state of the art facilities, forward thinking
supply chain and optimization models, and technology
services in support of inventory visibility and execution.
Retail pre-distribution programs were standardized and
delivered to market to support increased velocity, reduced
in-store handling, and extension of outgoing and incoming
season. She utilized her extensive offshore experience to
create vendor scorecard models and drive process
standardization across continents.
As a solutions provider, Ms. Lasater successfully integrated
multi-billion dollar global transportation, logistics, and
distribution solutions for innovative, well-known
multi-national corporations on three continents. She has led
the selection process and project management for a global
enterprise operating system, and has managed multi-site
warehouse facilities in the North America and Asia with P&L
responsibility.
A successful executive with broad international experience,
Ms. Lasater has spent seventeen years creating solutions for
clients that encompass international trade & logistics,
manufacturing support services, warehousing, distribution,
and technology. She is a featured speaker on supply chain
trends and technology solutions worldwide.
